i have been playing plastic instrument games since 2006 when i first played guitar hero 2 in a kiosk at circuit city. i was immediately enraptured and have spent the last NINETEEN YEARS playing plastic instrument games, especially rock band.
for a while i was one of the top rock band 4 vocalists in a very successful rivals group where we would get bloodstone rank every season. you can see me near the top of the leaderboards still, a number of years after falling out of love with rivals.
when i stopped playing rock band 4 in 2018, i had 500 vocal full combos. i switched at that point to mostly playing clone hero since it booted faster than rock band 4 on my xbox one or rock band 3 on my poor 360. i'm not very good at fake plastic guitar and my heart was always with vocals.
flashforward to 2025 and i have discovered rock band 3 dx, a quality of life mod for rock band 3, and rpcsx3, a playstation 3 emulator that can run rock band 3 at full speed on a steam deck. i've started playing vocals again and am on my way back to 500 fcs. join me on this journey!
